Only getting 5fps

Post by T72MKIV » Sun Oct 12, 2008 9:08 pm

Just built a new gaming rig, with WinEQ running Iit's only getting 5fps. I've tried disabling SLI, CPU affinity and it's the same result.

Here's my sysinfo:

You should only be using one FPS limiter. Disable EQPN or MQ2FPS and you should be fine.

Had to reinstall windows, since the autoupdates fubar'd my system. But I'm having the same problem as last time. I thought it would be the same fix as before, but it's still happening. I don't have MQ2 loaded, so I don't know what else would be causing it to only run at 5fps.

If you could help me out again Lax, that would be awesome. :D

Unfortunately this time I'm not sure, assuming this new sysinfo.txt was generated when it was going slow (by selecting Get Window Info as opposed to the one that would be generated as soon as the session is launched).

The only difference I see between your sysinfo.txt posts is MQ2 is loaded in the first one and the drivers are newer in the second one. I'd say try reverting your video driver to a previous version, but I don't honestly think that's the issue. Oh, and I guess Internet Explorer was a higher version the first time around.

I would definitely suggest doing SOME windows updates if you haven't, maybe be selective about it. But I would hate to see that this new issue is due to not having some obscure Vista update. I would also go through with trying without SLI again. Other than that, I don't see anything that sticks out.

Thanks for the fast reply Lax, been trying to figure out the issue since I last posted.

Figured out what the problem was, I installed the drivers that were on the CD that came with the mobo. I guess uising the newest drivers from Nvidia isn't always a good idea.

Sorry it's late, what I meant was that after installing the stock drivers that came with the mobo cured the problem.
