EQ client crash when entering world after todays patch

Client crashes when trying to enter world. If I load eq without wineq works fine.

This is true, its being said that EQplayNICE is the conflict.

Same here. Tried to load EQ for a total of four times now. I get to Server Select but when I try to enter the world the version crashes. My sysinfo.txt file follows:

You can use the regular eq client but you MUST unload wineq2 before it will work. Took me forever to realize that even if I ran the eq client directly that eqplaynice was apparently jumping in and doing something that resulted in a crash.

Unload wineq2 completely and you can run EQ. I dunno that I can handle not running inside wineq2 though! lol

To temporarily use wineq, just turn OFF eqplaynice in the preferences section. Its a fix for now until they patch WinEQ playnice, which is usually pretty quick. I just logged my 2 toons in after crashing 10x once I entered world.

Unfortunately even disabling eqplaynice doesn't appear to work for me. I'm still crashing in wineq2 is loaded at all. I even restarted wineq2. no dice.

I guess your mileage may vary.

disabling eqplaynice lets the wife use wineq2 just fine though. i guess i have bad karma.
