Could not verify Lavish Software account information (-4)

Post by malice042 » Thu Mar 23, 2006 5:18 am

Recently I've been getting a "Could not verify Lavish Software account information (-4)" when trying to open WinEQ 2.13 and login with a Pro account. I can log in fine with a non-subscribed account, and when I bypass my linksys wireless router, I am able to log in normally on the Pro account. It's only while connecting to the Pro account through my router that it's unable to verify. This setup has worked fine for me for the last month or so, and it's only since a night or two ago that I have had this problem.

I've tried reinstalling WinEQ2, removing the login information HKEY, even installed Inner Space and it had the same problem. I'm wondering if there's something on my end that's changed, or if the way Lavish accounts authenticate has been slightly modified so that my router's firewall features don't play nice with it anymore? If so, would it be possible to get port numbers for me to set up port forwarding/triggering? I've tried disabling as many of the firewall features as possible (there's no "disable all" function on my particular router :( ) and setting my computer as a DMZ, to no avail.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I've been getting this error since about Wednesday. I'm able to log into the forums fine, but get that when trying to launch WinEQ2
