Well then...

Post by vahnel » Wed Nov 02, 2005 3:08 am

Never had to post on here, as wineq has always been flawless for me once getting the latest patches, until today.

Noticed a patch in the WinEQ 2.0 Lite section about mouse calibration, this one has been hit or miss for me, sometimes it's calibrated at the login screens, sometimes it's not. Patched to most recent several times, including mutliple uninstalls and reinstalls of wineq with no luck.

Next, once in EQ1 3D mode (character select and beyond) left mouse click doesn't do anything at all, right mouse click will allow for mouse look as usual, but immediately pops up the wineq context menu (formally shift+Rclick) when released.

So yeah, without left click and always getting context menu on right click, wasn't really able to get in much gaming time this evening ;) Little frustrated at this point after fighting with it for a few hours though! =)

Basic setting information for my setup is EQ1, Emulated fullscreen mode on a 1280x1024 desktop.

Any information to help get this solved would be greatly appreciated =)

After a little more experimentation I found that doing an alt+enter when encountering either of the things I listed about seemed to solve them. It's repetative though, as I have to do it each time I login a character. Just though I'd post that incase it helps in tracking down the problem :) Now to go play for a bit while there's a little evening left!

Today is officially "I hate EverQuest 1 day"

I just made a patch this morning that should fix this problem.
