Random *BAD* Lag and lots of "//////'s

Post by Dereksaganii » Wed Oct 12, 2005 12:07 am

I'm using WinEQ2 (and MQ2) for quite a while now. In the past two weeks I've noticed a strange increase of lag on my 6-box setup (I have 2 GIG of RAM). After a while one of the sessions will, for all intents and purposes, STOP (like 1 frame 15-20 seconds). When this happens, I have to shut ALL my EQ sessions and start over for it to go away. Seems to happen more when I've been zoning around a lot then when I just go straight to 1 zone and stay there for a long time. I tried it without MQ2 but I didn't see any changes (though to be honest I can't do as much as I can with it to really stress the setup.). I did find that if I force Windows to minimize all the windows to the desktop and then open all the other windows except the frozen one that it will do it's "MQ Thing" and run macros fine.

The other thing I've noticed since the last WinEQ2 patch is that every now and then 1 instance will be LOADED with "////" and other strange characters. Kind of acts like it's bleeding from one session to another but I can't be sure.

Here is my sysinfo.txt:
