hotkeys
I changed the global activation for EQ to be
1st global `+1
2nd global `+2
3rd global `+3
this is not working and when I tried to change it back to
Ctrl+Alt+1 and so on (same as original setting) it would not work, any suggestions?

no edit button, oh well, but anyways
I just added in the {HOTKEY} in the window headers
(I left first one as default Ctrl+Alt+1,
second one as `+1
third one as `+3
when I started up the profiles, what happened was the first profile showed as being Ctrl+Alt+1 (works)
2nd was ctrl+alt+4
3rd was ctrl+alt+5
so evidently it will not accept `+1 and so on for global, any idea on how to work around this?

Global hotkeys are governed by Windows, not WinEQ, which means that they follow strict rules. The key combination for global hotkeys may consist of one key, plus any combination of "modifier" keys, which are WIN, CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, and no others. Which is why `+1 doesnt work
However, Ctrl+Alt+1 and such should work fine. Just make sure that the per-profile hotkeys are set to AUTO instead of custom, and you may need to restart WinEQ 2 after changing the global activation keys. Make sure they get saved, too.

yup. I did it soooo easily on my win 98 machine, but eh, that one does not run EQ lol, but win 2000 and later, you have to do it another way and I cannot seem to find them in the registery to change it manually, but I'm getting pretty close now, if you would like, when I figure it out I can PM it to you (I don't want to post stuff that would let newbies mess up their registry badly =p )
ok, I found something that will do it just fine, it is a program called KeyTweak. it will remap keys for you, doesn't matter what key

One more question. can winEQ2 differentiate between right and left ctrl/alt or sees them as the same?
