Ive been trying to 2box using your program. It is virtually impossible because of memory issues, and i have ddr 400 1.5 gig. I dont know if im doing something wrong or what, but with the computer i have eq should run just fine. When eqwindows was being supported i had no issues 2boxing, even with a much lesser computer, now i cant even do it without crashing. heres my info:

Thanx in advance for an answer

Crashing? I'm not sure that would necessarily be memory related, and I certainly dont have enough information to prove it either way. But from your sysinfo.txt I do have a few suggestions.

1. System Physical RAM: 494/1534MB
and Available Texture Memory: 62MB

Is your 6800 a PCI-Express card? I would just expect that you would have a lot more texture memory available, and the only thing I can think of is that with PCI-E cards, the old "AGP Aperture Size" either doesnt exist or isnt included in that number. I'd suggest raising the AGP Aperture Size if it is part of that.

2. EQ Path: C:\Copy of Everquest

Also guessing here, but it appears as though you are using two separate EQ directories, is that correct? There have been demonstrated crashes in the past simply because of using separate EQ directories with different eqclient.ini files. Bearing in mind that you actually get performance loss from using multiple directories, have you tried running your 2 sessions from the same directory? WinEQ profiles kind of destroy any reason for having multiple directories (separate eqclient.ini files if you want, separate login ini files so you dont have to retype your account names, etc).

Other than that, I dont see anything out of the ordinary. One other thing to note is that you have old NVIDIA drivers, and updating them may help as well. Similarly, make sure all of your motherboard drivers are up to date as well.

As far as comparing to old times (and not trying to argue, but just noting the following), keep in mind that EQ has always been constantly evolving. They have changed their graphics engine and such several times over, and every patch has the potential of bringing new crash bugs for various systems, and they might not be solved for months. For example, when OOW came about, they introduced a new BSOD bug for NVIDIA users who turn off vertex shaders (but only when playing multiple sessions), and of course it's still not fixed and they dont plan to address the problem. So while it's nice to think back about when things worked just the way you wanted them to, it's also not really a straight comparison. Some people to this day still use TNT2 cards on what is now a low end computer, and play multiple sessions of EQ on it with no problems (and of course, some do have problems). Likewise, some people with relatively high end systems such as yours have problems, and others dont

Let me know if this helps you :)
