Dell Memory

Hi, just a quick question. I recently stopped by my Best Buy store in the area for another memory strip for my Dell 8250 .. Suprisingly Dell's memory is only sold BY dell or so i was told bc its different someway.. I dont know much bout computers. Anyways was wondering where i could find this memory other than Dell bc they are way overly expensive.
