Will not start an Eeverquest sesson
I clik on the desktop icons that ShoEQ2.0 makes and nought happens,
This after I have started WinEQ2.0. Even usint the menus in the tool box will not start and EQ session, however If I use the Everquest 1 it works just fine;

Works fine here. If there are quotes or certain other special characters in your profile name, it may not work. Right click on the desktop icon and select Properties.
The Target should look like this:
C:\Program Files\WinEQ2\WinEQ2.exe /plugin:WinEQ2-EQ.dll "WinEQ 2.0 Default Profile"
Copy and paste what yours says

I'm having the same problem with 2.07. I start WinEQ, then right click to go to the EverQuest menu, then select my character profile I have created, click on it and nothing happens. This all worked fine before it was patched to 2.07.
I can start EQ fine without WinEQ or from my standard EQ desktop shortcut.

Just a note
I had not run WinEQ pathcer in about 4-5 days prior to day, so Guess I got upgraded too 2.07 and this is when it quite working.
Okay, I misunderstood what you were saying in the first post.
EQ wont be launched if:
a) WinEQ2.dll doesn't exist in the WinEQ2 folder
b) eqgame.exe cannot be opened in the path given
c) Lavish.dll in the Windows folder is out of date (note that this is copied over automatically when WinEQ2 starts)
Past that, should be no problems. Have you rebooted, etc?

Rebooted like 3 times.
Here is the deal, EQ is still in same directory where I installe monts ago.
EQ had bee up with WinEQ for about 5 or 6 days with no problmes
When I got home
1) did a /exit on the 1 session that was running
2) Rebooted
3) Clicked on the "WinEQ 2.0" desktop icon, it did the path and plugi-in thing like normal.
4) Cliicked on my desktop short cut for "Ting" HD makes some nose but then no go on the EQ patch screen coming up.
I tried this 3 times. I even use the "Ting" from the icon in the task bar. same thing.
I have not done any chances to this PC but copy new MQ2 .dll 1 week ago.

Not sure what it may be but:
Rebooted - check
WinEQ2.dll in c:\program files\wineq - check
eqgame.exe in c:\program files\everquest = same path listed in WinEQ/options/preferences/everquest/profiles/"character name" profile - check
Lavish.dll in c:\windows Dated 12/20/2004 10:35pm 84k - check
Still will not launch EQ - when profile is selected, hard drive chugs for a few seconds and then stops - looking in Task Manager and no EQ related processes are running other than WinEQ2.exe.

devodevitt: Yes, I understand that you have not made any changes, but here's the other problem... neither have I. The system for loading the game hasnt been changed in months.
1) See if the same problem exists without MQ2
2) See if SysInfo.txt gets created in the WinEQ2 folder. Delete it first just to make sure if you want. If it does, post the contents here.

I actually was asking about it being disabled in WinEQ itself.
Okay, after reading your log I noticed EQ patching is enabled, and I don't usually test with patching. Turning that on presents the issue described. I'll have this problem fixed shortly, and in the meantime you can turn off EQ patching if you want
