"The procedure entry point WMCreateWriter could not be loaded in the dynamic link library WMVCore.DLL."
Additionally, when using EQ1 it is very difficult to load a second instance. It looks as if the second instance keeps losing focus, making it unresponsive to the keyboard. SysInfo.txt below.

error message when loading wineq2.03
Moderators: Lavish Software Team, Moderators
Hmmm.. your internet explorer is out of date. Update it to the latest through Windows Update and see if that makes a difference for the mouse. I'll see if I can find other possible causes
Also, the WMCreateWriter problem is from not having Windows Media Player 9 or later. I will see what I can do to make that message not appear.

Downloaded patch to 2.03 and no longer have the error message when loading WinEQ. Instead, I get an error from eqgame.exe when trying to load a second instance. Have not patched anything else. There is still quite a long delay between accepting the EULA and getting to the login (as compared to 2.02).
Below is the SysInfo.txt after second instance creates error.
