Mouse Alignment

Post by Nuggruk » Wed Nov 02, 2005 7:47 am

Hi Lax,

Running WinEQ2 and Everquest 1.

The mouse is slightly out of alignment on the 2d screens, once you get to the character screen its all okay again. On the two systems I have tried the misalignment was identical, the cursor was about half inch below and to the left of the actual click point.

Have Fun

Same issue, it started after the last patch that was done. I am guessing since that one fixed mouse alignment for WinEQ2 Lite that the fix efffected the registered users as well, throwing our mouse out of whack. Mine isnt in line on any screen , even in game last night it was off.

Similar issue here -- new as of this morning as I downloaded updated WinEQ for the latest mini-patch.

WinEQ 2.12 Pro -- running Everquest

Cannot select anything with a Left-Click once I get into the game.

Note: mouse cursor is still visible, and I can move it around OK. But even spam-clicking, I have been unable to select anything. Tried swaping to IE, then back; tried both new and old GUI styles in EQ; tried reboot/restart....

More info (posted in 2 threads ...)

Post by banerian » Wed Nov 02, 2005 9:12 am

A bit more information as I tried to carefully observe what I was seeing:

The mouse alignment appears to be off by 1/4 inch down on the EULA and Login screens -- I can still select/L-Click stuff, but not "right under the tip of the mouse cursor".

In the Character Select screen, I'm unable to L-Click on anything -- even when spam-clicking all over the screen.

In-game, I have been able to select a banker by moving up to him so that he essentially covers my whole screen, then L-Click. However, when I then R-click the banker to open up the bank boxes, I also get the in-game WinEQ R-Click context menu (as well as the bank boxes).

Nuggruk: thanks for your comments -- I'm glad you've got it to work.

I did try switcing back and forth between windowed and Full-Screen (emulated) modes; as well as to Tiny mode and a few others I've custom made, but no luck

Might just get in-game without WinEQ for now -- but darn, I'm so used to boxing now - LOL!

Alt-Enter is temporary (I hope!) workaround

Post by banerian » Wed Nov 02, 2005 9:17 am

Read a few more of the posts on the board, and saw Vanhel (sp?) writing that Alt-Enter fixes it -- tried and it works for me, so I'm GTG at least for now...

Same problem here. And, thanks for the alt-enter suggestion ! That seems to fix it for now.....not sure I would have figured that out on my own ;)
