is there a way, or am I just missing it. to go full screen (not emulated) and have the picture in picture thing going? the emulated full screen crowds the interface

See WinEQ 2 FAQ item 1.2) How can I turn on Picture-in-Picture?
http://www.lavishsoft.com/wineq2/faq.php#1.2
Full screen emulation is a window like any other, and Picture-in-Picture works on top of any window. That should get you started. Have fun

No. WinEQ forces the application into a window, and even if it allowed real full screen, DirectX would not allow window to be placed over it. I could implement something similar to what you're asking for, but it would likely be ungodly slow.

I guess I will have to find some sort of UI that is smaller, in windows/emulated the ui is big for some reason and crowds the screen.

I think I got it, I found in the Eqclient.ini was some wineq entrys for the screen at 800x600 so i change then entrys to 1024x768 the resolution I normally play the game, hit simulated full screen and wham looks like I normally play and when i fire up 2nd session and the pip works like a champ

I do some more expirmenting on the next higher resolution and placement of the PiP but so far it rocks

Ah, I see now. You normally change the resolution in the game by pressing Alt+O, clicking Display, then clicking Video Modes. Set the resolution there
