Alright, I got everything set up so that I could start recording videos easily. When I tried it all out, everything seemed to be working normally. I made a few videos and then I logged out to watch them. However, when I tried to play the various videos, they would not play!
I have Windows Media Player 10, plus I downloaded a .wmv codec pack that someone told me would help, but it didn't.
This is the error message I get:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
Anyone help me with this?
Oh yeah, I opened it with GSpot too, but it couldn't tell what codec I needed for some reason. It says that the reason is because the file actually doesn't have any length! When I checked the file itself, it says 0 bytes under size... Same thing for all of them!

I'd prefer a new thread for that, but I'll answer it here anyway
Yes, if you have sound enabled in the video capture, you should hear sound. However, you may need to check recording levels in the volume control (they are separate from playback levels), make sure that the correct device is set for recording, etc. If you have onboard sound and a sound card, you may have to disable the one you dont use.
