Quick question about EQ1

Post by PatricktheDookie » Wed Mar 02, 2005 3:29 pm

I've subscribed to wineq 2.0 for close to 6 months now, and it works like a dream, except for one minor annoyance. Every time I load up the game, I get a popup asking me to turn on vertex shaders. I either have to click yes then turn it off in-game, or click "no" 3 separate times when starting it up.

I've been asking guild members who run this program, and they don't know how to get rid of this popup either. Is there a way to do this?

Sorry if this question has been asked before or if I'm too stupid to find the answer myself. =P

The problem is that using an NVIDIA card and multiboxing EQ1, if you turn off Vertex Shaders (people did that to reduce lag in OoW I'm told), you're heading into BSOD territory. For this reason, WinEQ 2 automatically changes the option for you. However, this may have been fixed and hopefully it's safe to take out the nag and automatic change of the option. I'll pull it out and update WinEQ 2 today for you.

I do run an NVidia card, but it never causes me any problems to turn it off, no matter how many toons I load. I appreciate it alot. =)

Appears as though I need to put the nag screen back:

I will make it able to be disabled though.
