I've been having a great time with WinEQ, but I'd like to get it working on both my laptop's built in LCD screen and my 21 inch CRT. I can get the whole thing to work mostly, but whenever I drag the second EQ session to the second screen the FPS starts to absolutely suck.
I picked up in another thread that the 3d drivers are associated with the display when the application starts, so I can understand now why it loses performance moving to the other screen.
My question now is how do I start the second session on the second screen and avoid pulling the application away from it's 3d accelleration support? - or will that even help?
I hope my question makes sense.

The trick is that DirectX will do hardware acceleration on any display, but is locked into one display when the application tells it which one. All you have to do to use your secondary display is go into your WinEQ 2 profile and set the adapter to Secondary

OK, I'll look for that option in the profiles tonight.
Thanks!

that did the trick!
It's great that I can get the second screen to work now. I had to go with 'full screen(emulated)' mode though 'cause if I tried to run it in normal mode the screen would disappear after the login screen and not come back. It's the point where the client normally disappears and comes back in less than 30 seconds. Maybe it's when the client is transitioning graphic modes or something. In any case, I could click on the taskbar icon and see the graphic of the window being taken off the second screen to the task bar (I have the minimize and restore animations enabled) and then moved back to the second screen then I clicked to restore it. It could be 10 minutes wasn't long enough to wait if it had to initialize something, but I've never had to wait that long before.
Running it intiled mode didn't seem to make a difference,
If you wanted to pursue it I could send you my system info, but full screen works fine for me!

System info probably wont be important in solving that one, I'll have to try to reproduce it. Glad to hear you got it working satisfactorily

Other problem for me was, when i tried to start EQ on second display first.
Then screen disappeared after login too.
For me working:
- Make two profiles (on with primary display, one with secondary display)
- Make both profiles fullscreen (at least profile for secondary display)
- Start profile for primary display first, then for secondary display
=> use /render and /maxfps for perfomance (set low for inactive display)
