WinEQ 2.0; Warcraft 3 (no expansion); crash bug

Post by Floppie7th » Sat Feb 12, 2005 1:25 pm

When I attempt to run Warcraft 3 via WinEQ (to run EQ and WC3 simultaneously...no built-in WC3 windowed mode), it begins to load fine. Either as or after it checks for a CD, I recieve this error message:

Then, I recieve the good old message that says I don't have the CD in the drive.

Yes I do have the CD in, and I have tried it with the CD in both my drives. I haven't tried it yet without EQ running, I'll try that next and add a reply here to see if it's just a matter of "I don't have enough system RAM to run both at once".

Also, yes, I have made sure to turn the Frozen Throne option off. Other than that, my Warcraft III options are all default.

I tried running it without EQ open (sorry, I completely forgot to do this until I came back here to check for a reply), and I got the same thing. I know I have enough memory to run Warcraft III...because I do it all the time, even with EQ running. I tried running WC3 without EQ running, in both windowed and full screen mode set in WinEQ, but recieved the same error message, then it proceeded to tell me I didn't have the CD inserted...once again, when I did have the CD inserted.

This is with no expansion installed? I'll have to check on that
