Two boxing in EQ1
I've searched all over the site and cannot find any sort of guide to set this up. I load up one instance of EQ, but I cannot figure out a way to get back to the desktop and start another instance. If there is any sort of guide on here for setting up a two box, could someone please point me in the right direction?
A thing that drove me crazy at first, which might be part of your problem:
Make sure you go into options and rename a profile from the default "Profile 2, Profile 3" etc.
If you don't rename it, I don't think it'll show up in the "Everquest >" menu on the Taskbar thing. I was fine with using the name "Profile 2" as my 2nd profile, but I couldn't ever see how to get it to run without renaming it to get it to actually pop up in the expanded menu.
Not sure if that's the problem - it's a little unclear exactly what the issue is, but I hope that helps.

oh oh oh oh i know i know i know...I am having this problem and and and I THINK it is because you have not enabled the alt-tab feature under win xp.
YES YES IT ISSSSSSSSSSSS one possible solution....go to microsoft.poop and go to downloads and get the application compatibility toolkit. The file name = act30.exe OR act26.exe depending on which version you are using. install it...THEN THEN run it. And on the left you will see "applications" with the + next to it....open up its menu and scroll down to "Everquest" Now on the right side you will see a few EQ files. The top one says "Everquest" right click it and on the pull down menu select "Disable Entry"
PRESTO now you can alt-tab and use the windows key. Like a dumbass I forgot about this when I recently reformatted my HD....SO SORRY LAX for making like 3 other posts about this it just dawned on me.
Hope this helps.
