Graphix Issue

Post by Shadowcloud » Tue Nov 20, 2007 7:31 pm

Never knew WinEQ had it's own forms =-D

I seem to be having a graphix issue when I use WinEQ to load in 2 or more instances. First one loads up just fine but after I load in the second one it seems like both pictures are trying to be drawn on the same window instead of one just running in the background like normal. Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

Same problem, finding it totally impossible to 2box since the patch. If i dont jsut eq crash immediately logging in or when zoning, i get all those same blacked out screens, greyed out inventory slots etc etc etc.

I don't see any mention of those things in this thread, so I'm not sure what you're saying.. but either way, if you're reporting a problem, please post your sysinfo.txt. You can get it through WinEQ 2 by right clicking ont he game window title bar, and selecting Get System Info. You can paste the results in a post here -- feel free to censor character names or such if you please, but don't leave things out, as it may be important.

Okay sorry couldnt figure out which thread. Not sure this is a WinEQ problem really as much as a EQ problem but when loggign in a 2nd EQ isntance the world goes black, wel major sections of textures, as well as inventory slots having greyed out slots so you cant see them

(Note in the sysinfo its repopring 1 GB Video Ram yet I only have a 512MB ATI X1600 not sure if that can be related.

Are you using multiple EQ folders? If so, have you tried launching multiple from the same copy instead? Have you checked for new drivers from ATI for your video card? That's about all I can suggest for this one aside from trying to run a couple sessions without WinEQ to see if the problem is still exhibited. If it is, then I may not be able to do anything to help.

The sysinfo.txt reports close to 1GB of "texture memory" which isn't the same as video RAM. It includes video RAM and a portion of system RAM that it can borrow if needed.

Same Folder

Post by Naunl » Mon Nov 26, 2007 3:19 pm

Ya run out of the same folder, tried both latest ATI Catalyst X1600 drivers and also ones fetched by MSI (Board manufacturer). Think its a memory issue and more with EQ then WinEQ at this point. Problem gets worse in large textured Zones VS old world EQ zones with less intense graphics.
2GB Main memory system and 2boxing takes me down to 100MB or so free. I think this latest SoF expansions newest graphics additions just pushed things a tad too far. May try cutting off all Luclin Models and such
to see if it helps.

Thanks for trying.
