Characters Flashing

Post by buttaamonkkie » Sun May 13, 2007 12:51 pm

I am currently having a problem with my characters flashing, sometimes even whole parts of their bodies become invsible, and it happens with all PC's and NPCs around me but not with the surrounding enviroment. Any help on fixxing this issue?

I was waiting for you to post a sysinfo.txt, it is usually supposed to accompany an error report, as the information that you have provided doesn't give any information regarding . . . well anything.

Anyway, if you could post a sysinfo.txt in this thread so all the information is together that would help. To generate this, right click on the title bar of the game once it is open and and select "Generate System Info".

It would help if you have one sysinfo when you are not having the problem and one when you are for comparison.

All of that aside, missing textures is usually a sign of low video ram or possibly a corrupted direct3d.dll.

I have mixed reports of Vista + Nvidia success. My suggestion is to make sure you have the latest Nvidia drivers (released May 2, http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_158.18.html for 64 bit, http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_158.18.html for 32 bit). Maybe reinstall them even if you do have the latest.

Your EQPN settings look right.

Since you didn't mention, this happens when you use WinEQ and when you don't, right?
