WinEQ 2.0 has always worked fine until I upgraded to Vista. I have now tried uninstalling and reinstalling as Administrator in every compatibility mode possible. I also try running it as administrator when I run it. However, every time I try to run it I receive this.

SYSINFO.TXT also does not exist in my WinEQ folder.

Although here is a copy/paste of some sysinfo information.

I am using a 256MB Radeon x800 PCIe video card.

I also tried disabling UAC after everything else I tried did not work. The game I am trying to play is everquest. I have tried launching via default profile and 2 custom profiles I have, and the actual WINeq executable itself in the WinEQ directory. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, one more thing, Everquest runs fine by it self.

crimsonwall-

I cleaned up some of the other posts for you. I know that Lax has had several reports of various issues with Vista and I am sure he will be able to get to them as he finds the reasons for the crashes.

Thanks for the reports.

Perfect. This is the same issue I solved yesterday for Inner Space, so I'm glad you were able to find that extra info. This issue is solved by having the latest Lavish.dll. I updated the WinEQ 2 installer to contain the new version. Download and run the WinEQ 2 installer -- you do not need to uninstall, and it will not remove or change any of your settings -- and everything should work properly. Let me know :)
