Shift + RClick problem

Post by Sleazy » Sun Dec 10, 2006 10:18 pm

If I accidently hit Shift + RClick (which for some reason I seem to do a lot lately) the window pops up just like it is supposed to. However, if I just click somewhere in the viewport to make it go away it locks the mouse inside that instance. If I Alt + Tab to a different instance that shares some of the area of the desktop, I can move the mouse only in the shared area. I have to log to desktop to correct the problem.

It does not change the mouse release setting. I've tried reloading the window preset and that doesn't seem to fix it. It is very duplicatable.

"Mouse release setting"?

You can disable the shift+rclick hotkey and get the same menu from right clicking on the titlebar. To disable or change the hotkey, go into the WinEQ 2 Preferences for the game you're playing (EQ1?), under Hotkeys.

I'm not sure what you mean by disable. It won't take a blank entry and right clicking doesn't give me a disable button. However it did let me change it to Ctrl+Alt+Shift+RClick. That's a combination I probably won't hit accidently.

Thanks for your help Lax, I love your WinEQ 2 and EQ Playnice.

WTB edit. By mouse release I meant the Auto Release that is available under Window presets for EQ. I played around with it and the problem I'm having seems similar to the behaviour I see when I set Auto Release to off.

Oh, yikes. that shouldnt exist anymore because EQ doesnt lock the mouse like it used to. I'll have to rip that out and update wineq 2
