EQ2 problem

Post by Izlana » Mon Feb 13, 2006 9:18 pm

I've been having this problem ever since SOE released LU19. When loading the game using WinEQ2 I get the following error in my ui.txt file:

Couldn't load eq2ui_listboxrow_template2.xml

What this does is basically prevent me from casting any spells since when I get this and click on a spell in my hotbar the name of the spell goes to the chat window (as opposed to the spell being cast...like it should).

I don't see this error in the ui.txt file if I play without WinEQ2.

Any thoughts anyone?

Have you tried using innerspace? I don't think any of the innerspace users have experienced any of that.

Well, I dont think any WinEQ 2 users have either. I dont know why it would happen, since WinEQ doesnt do anything to EQ2 itself...

This issue caused me to quit EQ2 back in March. I decided to return to EQ2 after the latest expansion release but i'm still having this issue. It seems to be UI related (using EQ2 default UI)...when i'm having the issue if i minimize the window and restore it works (for a few minutes anyways). I can't alt-tab windows...i have to minimize and restore. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. One other note: it seems to happen only when i'm two boxing (both accounts on the same computer) and i have the characters grouped. I've tried downloading and installing the latest software but no dice...

Have you ever loaded a UI such as Thorui or any other ui before? I would suggest deleting the UI directory from you sony/everquest2 directory and then repatching and seeing if that helps resolve the issue, it sounds like it is definately a UI problem and has nothing to do with wineq2. If deleting the directory and repatching doesn't work try looking it up on the technical support forums eq2players.com.

Hope that helps
