PiP

Post by Bawkin » Sat Jul 22, 2006 2:24 pm

Hey just upgraded to WinEQ2 Pro. So far I love it, wish I had done it a long time ago hehe.

Anyways my question is about PiP. Is there a way to change the position of the smaller window? I have been able to mess with the rendering, and stuff like that. I tried messing with the "tiny" window options, but that did not seem to do anything, and the current position (x,y) in the "tiny" window options is completely different than my PiP window.

Thanks for the help, I hope this made sense hehe.

The PiP window position is set per profile. Any picture window shown above a session launched with the given profile will be shown at that x,y position.

You can set it temporarily for the duration of the session by enabling PIP Lock (CTRL+ALT+O by default), and dragging the picture window to the desired position. Then just disable PIP Lock by pressing the hotkey again.

When I enable pip lock, the pip small window vanishes. I turn it off and the pip window returns. I too am trying to reposition my pip window to the bottom of my screen but changing the x y in the profile has no affect.

What game are you having this problem with? I assume you're enabling PIP lock with the hotkey, right?

Changing the x,y in the profile requires a restart after you change it, and if you are using multiple profiles, then be aware that you need to set it in the profile that would be the foreground window. This is so that if you have a character with a specific UI that you need to see parts of in a specific spot, you can position any picture window at the same spot over it instead of having various picture window locations over it that might not be useful.
