I've discovered that if I fire up Fury after I launch WinEQ2, if I then try to create a new EQ session, it fails with the following error box:
eqgame.exe - Entry Point Not Found
X The procedure entry point Func16 could not be located in the dynamic link library Lavish.dll
This appears to be a version mismatch -- Fury uses a different (older) version of Lavish.dll than WinEQ2, and even if I copy in the version of Lavish.dll from the WinEQ2 directory to the Fury directory, it promptly re-patches over it.
The only work-around I've found is to try and run WinEQ2 again, at which point it says it detected it was already running, and exits -- but now the right DLL is in place and I can launch EQ.
Lavish.dll mismatch with Fury causing EQ to fail in WinEQ2
