Help

Post by Greg23 » Thu Jun 22, 2006 7:37 pm

I have read all the posts and looked at everything available. Is there a guide anywhere for a complete moron (me) to set this up and play. All i want to do is be able to play my warrior on main screen and druid on small one. (EQ1)

Don't need to do any special setup really, just launch two EverQuest using the default profile and log them in.

If you want Picture-in-Picture, you can right click on the WinEQ 2 icon, and under options, check "Picture-in-Picture". This is the global setting, meaning without turning this one on, PiP is disabled entirely (note: setting it this way applies it temporarily, so it would need to be enabled each time you launch WinEQ 2. it can be set permanently through the Preferences window, under WinEQ 2.0, General). Then open the preferences window, and find the WinEQ 2.0 Default Profile under EverQuest, Profiles, and set the "Picture-in-Picture" option to ON. Click apply, and your new settings are immediately put to use. Switching between the two windows will put the other window on top in the smaller picture mode. Note that with PiP, using alt+tab to switch between windows is less desirable than using WinEQ session switching keys (CTRL+ALT+X or CTRL+ALT+Z by default, or CTRL+ALT+1 to move to window 1, CTRL+ALT+2 to move to window 2 -- these are all configurable)... because you have to shift+alt+tab to move to the window that's stuck on top.

Though I'm unclear if by "main screen and small one" you mean you have two monitors. If you want something different than PiP, let me know in greater detail how you want it to work, and I'll help you achieve it
