Quick Question about game support

Post by [40oz] » Tue Mar 14, 2006 11:31 pm

Didn't see anything in the FAQ or other literature concerning what your status on supporting further games would be. I know that Innerspace works just fine for supporting new games most of the time, but I'm curious if you'd ever add support to WinEQ2 for more games, in specific EVE Online. I'd love to keep a copy of each EVE and EQ open at any given time =)

May want to add an FAQ question about "Will you add support for ____ game?" so future folks don't have to make a new post about it.

The answer as far as WinEQ 2 goes is generally flat out "no". Not because I dont want to support the game, but simply because WinEQ 2 is not conducive to supporting more games. A replacement for WinEQ 2 built with the Inner Space core is much more appropriate, and would work for the full range of games supported by Inner Space. Additionally, basically every game but EQ1 is far better done with Inner Space than with WinEQ 2 (just more difficult to set up). Anyway, said replacement should be coming around sometime this year, but that's about as good as the timeline is going to get there for now

Okay just curious. I've been using IS for it anyhow, but I like to keep EQ with WinEQ2 for whatever reason.
