Innerspace vs WinEQ2

Post by kokapeli » Wed Nov 23, 2005 2:27 am

I play 2 or sometimes 3 instances of EQ using WinEQ2. I've started reading about Innerspace just recently and want to know if I should use it instead? Will I see any benefits with IS over WinEQ2? Currently I run a dual monitor setup and WinEQ2 runs great.

Presently, you're probably better off with WinEQ 2. Inner Space is far more powerful and can be configured more precisely, but is not as easy to set up.

If you are technically-minded, Inner Space may be your cup of tea, though. It uses a command shell which includes scripting abilities (note: WinEQ 2 features are implemented in Inner Space as combinations of commands), has an in-game XML-based GUI, and can load extensions built in C++.

I'm not that technically minded. I did donate to you on the Macroquest site and DL'd a C++ Compiler but I think a lot of this is way over my head. I would love to be able to learn about macros and scripting though.

once you figure out the basics to innerspace, I have noticed less lag while 2-boxing using innerspace over WinEQ2... Tis really all I use it for on EQ
