WinEQ2 crashes

Post by mijuki » Fri Nov 04, 2005 1:35 pm

right when loading wineq 2.0 plugins at 60%, no sysinfo, no nothing, just the windows crash dialog... :-(

What kind of info would be helpful? Worked earlier today, but now after the last patch it just keeps crashing...

Is there something you can click on for "more info" or such in the crash box? Are you using XP SP2?

If it worked earlier today, sysinfo.txt should still be in your WinEQ 2 folder (unless you uninstalled WinEQ 2 or such) -- WinEQ 2 doesnt delete it.

Unfortunately that doesnt provide me with any clues, since it looks normal ;) I'll dig around a bit.

Mine also just started crashing when "Initializing WinEQ 2.0 Plugins..."

Im getting :
An unhandled win32 exception occured in WinEQ.exe [2664]

I've got VS 2005 installed and it asks me to use the JIT debugger. When VS.NET 2005 is loaded the Exception has abit more info:

Unhandled exception at 0x7c911e58 in WinEQ2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.

stevec, if you can get me the call stack, that would help greatly.

I just put up a patch that may fix this, so restart WinEQ 2 and see if it works.

I got another computer with the exact same setup. EXCEPT, it uses Windows XP Home and it works perfectly.

I know Windows XP Professional are abit more chinky than Home edition. Especially when it comes to the Program Files folders.

I really appreciate all the work you do Lax, hope you find a solution for this problem :(

Just tried again and same thing happens.

Before I see the disassembly it says :

No symbols are loaded for any call stack frame. The source code cannot be displayed.

Is there anything I can send you?
