Scaling Custom UI's to fit smaller windows

Post by Tetzu » Wed Sep 29, 2004 11:49 am

Hi, I'm a new user trying out the software and have some questions.

My question is, since we scale down the screen size, do we also have to change the UI Skin (/loadskin) to a type that works on a smaller resolution? I love my current UI, and don't think I could switch to something as simple as what's shown in some of your pictures.

Also, is there a source of images showing how people use the software? I'd be interested to see some of the multi-box setups people have.

Thanks

No, scaling the window as a pro user does not force you to change your UI (non-pro can't scale the window)... but changing the in-game resolution will change your layout. The pictured EQ sessions on the main page were running at 640x480 in a 1280x1024 display for best clarity, but you could run tiled mode (as a pro user) with your usual resolution and UI... it would just be harder to read since it's smaller :)
