WinEQ v1.17 Released

Post by Lax » Thu Aug 05, 2004 12:22 pm

Changes:

Code: Select all

- WinEQ will retry creating the Direct3D devices 10 times over the course of 1 second if
the creation initially fails due to lack of video memory before giving the message box
and closing EQ. Keep in mind that this message is due to DirectX9 refusing to create
another 3D device, not because WinEQ is stopping you -- EQ would simply crash when this
  problem exists without WinEQ.
- WinEQ will display a message box explaining profile usage if multiple sessions are opened
  using the default profile.
- Removed Extensive Debug Logging option
- Fixed bug in main WinEQ program that caused problems where the system internally forgot
what profiles sessions were using. This fixes a problem with tiling, previous/next cycling
and probably a few other issues.
- Fixed Direct3D device reset crashes
- Fixed color depth mismatch problems
- Changed DirectInput handling. Quirkiness with the auto-release of SHIFT/CTRL/ALT/WIN keys
  should be smoothed over
- WinEQ's memory indicator now has modifier key indicators placed on a 3rd line. This is to
help identify problems with the auto-release of SHIFT/CTRL/ALT/WIN
- WinEQ main program no longer pauses while a new session is starting
- The default location for WinEQ when using Reset Window Position is now low enough that the
task bar is covered up in normal mode with lock window size on
We will be back on high speed internet this coming Monday. Until then we are limited in the amount of time we can spend taking care of new subscriptions and responding to emails or message board posts. Thank you for your patience :)
