Diablo 2 (2001) supports rendering with either DirectDraw and DirectX 7.

Inner Space is designed to support DirectX 8 or later. Diablo 2 unfortunately does not make this cut. Sorry!

Inner Space build 6111 also produces a .dmp file in the Inner Space folder when the Lavish Crash Reporter comes up. In this case it should be InnerSpace.exe.dmp. That is the time on the file, not the actual timestamp built into the file when they built it which is what EQPlayNice reports when an update is needed.

If you're playing an old enough version of EQ, the game always used a software mouse instead of the hardware mouse, meaning it was not synchronized with the actual Windows mouse, and a reset to 0,0 (top left corner) is more likely. If that's not the case I might be looking at other running software ...
