That was it! It was part of an Alienware theme manager app. I just went back to a standard theme and un-installed it and WinEQ2 works fine now

If there was an easy answer, it would have been answered already :) But alas, I don't specifically know what it is that's causing your issue here. So I install WinEQ 2 Lite. First time I run it everything works perfectly. Start 3 or 4 instances of EQ1, runs great. Exit out of everything to take a break or whatever, and I can't get EQ to run.
