UAC is evil. I was having similar issues with Win7 not only did I have to run as administrator but I ended up turning UAC off on startup any program I had set to run as administrator was not starting at all.

I had the exact same issue and I consider myself fair adept at computers and configurations of WOW. It took me all night to figure out what I had done wrong. I logged in the first time on all 5 toons no problem. I forgot to tick the remember account name. The next time I logged in I had scrambled up...
