Window positioning not being read on loadup
As of today, WinEQ is not loading up the default window profile when I load the program and start up a profile. It used to set my display as per the settings under [Preset1] in the WinEQ.ini file. Now I have to manually press CTRL+SHIFT+1 for every session and computer to make it do what it used to....

I have a combination of ATI CATs 5.7, 5.8, 5.9 and 5.10 on my different systems. From what I can see it doesn't seem a factor. However I am updating them all to 5.10 as the SOE warning window came up saying to update the drivers. My ATI cards are as follows: 9500 Pro 9600 Pro X800 XT X800 XT PE Re-r...

Lax, I've posted on this lag/delay situation before, but I've found something interesting which I'll post about. Having built in EQPN support in WinEQ, does add to this switching delay but it isn't the cause as disabling it still does not give an instant switch like EQW acheived. What I found was th...

I was having this problem too with I first loaded up WinEQ and tried to run EQ. I found a solution however and my WinEQ is now running as it used to in the resolution I want it in. I have a different EQClient.ini for each profile I run, so my initial attempts at running EQ directly didnt' help lol. ...

The key to boxing is having toons running using as little memory as possible. SP2 has more system overhead than SP1. Thus it doesn't make any sense to run SP2 over SP1 if none of "features" of that update are of any use. If you are using a new version of MSXML or some other component of SP2/Windows ...

My copy of windows is a purchased copy. SP2 is a headache and due to it's increased memory hogging, I reverted back to SP1. If you're telling me that my problems are possibly due to running SP1, then I'd have to laugh. SP2 offers nothing over SP1 apart from built in firewalls and other such useless ...

Struggling to get decent performance using WinEQ2 vs EQW
It's been over a month now since I switched from EQW. My computer is more than capable of running 4 sessions of EQ. WinEQ2 to be honest is not up to the task. Using EQW with the exact same detail settings, and also running EQPN, the performance is very good. However, running WinEQ2, simply pressing ...

When I set this to ON, in the preferences for WinEQ2, it stays selected as ON or OFF. However, when I close WinEQ2 and then load it up again, the selection is blank. I had a look inside the "WinEQ-EQ.ini" file and am not sure where it's saving the ON or OFF setting. My guess would be this line here....

After reading what I posted, let me clarify a few things hehe... The reference to EQPN doesn't apply. On my main comp I'm not even using it at present. My comp is a bit of a beast so it's not hardware lacking that causing this performance hit with WinEQ. I'm running 2 EQ sessions on my main comp at ...

Trouble with performance vs EQW :(
I've used EQPN for awhile now. Only recently I've ditched EQW and have been using WinEQ. The problem I'm having is that boxing 2 toon, performance wise, is worse than boxing 4 toons when I used EQW. The laggyiness is really noticeable. I am in no means being critical of WinEQ, I'm just stating my ow...
