Culprit was ... Vista. Reinstalled EQ outside Program Files and it solved my issue. Hope this helps somebody in the future. Of course, a sticky with a workaround for Vista issues would be nice.

Every time I start up WinEQ and launch EQ, I have to manually reset all my video options. Stuff is not saving when I log off. Any ideas on what I can do, as this didn't happen before last week's SOE patch.
