Update - XP seems to have fixed the issue

Just an update FYI...I've gone to Windows XP SP2, installed EQ, WinEQ2, and logged in two characters no problem first try.. With both chars logged in, I'm running with 404MB available texture memory....and everything seems to be running fine.

directx already updated :(

I was sure I had the latest...but followed your link just to make sure....and it verified that I had the latest updates. I guess I will try XP and see if that helps.

eq crash error resetdevice() failed

Forgot to mention in my original post...when eq crashes, it typically crashes with the resetdevice() failed error message.

Thanks for assistance in advance.... Just purchased new system and trying to use wineq2 for dualboxing eq1.
