I am having issues with eq crashing at character select screen with version 1.08.

My fp/s indicator is not showing in EQ.
Tried each new version since patch and still getting no indicator. Yes there is an icon in the bottom right of my desktop and yes I have logged in. Anuone able to tell me what I am doing wrong?
