that's exactly what I'm seeing.
Well, anyway windows didn't like my directx fiddling and crashed on me, in a way that i'll need to reformat my boot partition.
Then this weekend I'll be enjoing the pleasures of a complete windows reinstall, after it I'll report if the problem persists.

found the following files:
C:\Program Files\InnerSpace\IS-D3D9.dll
C:\Program Files\WinEQ2\WinEQ2-D3D9.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\D3D9.dll
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\D3D9.dll (should delete this).

If you think it's a problem with DX9 I'll remove it and reinstall to see.

No luck, same result, I'm wondering if WinEQ has some dependency that's absent from my comp. Like some windows service. Anyway, this is the new SysInfo. I desinstaled Ultramon to test it, and same result, after clicking the 'ok' button at the login window I only see a brief flash of a new window in the uper left corner of my monitor, 1/4 of the monitor more or less, then nothing.
