I had this same issue in Win7 along with the clients hanging for 3-10 seconds when switching between them. I did two things that were recommended (I didn't narrow down between the two because I kind of liked both changes anyways). I disabled Aero and ran WinEQ in XP SP2 compatibility mode. Not sure ...

Had this issue on Win7 as well. Changing to XP SP2 compat mode fixed it for me as well. Thanks!
