not sure if this would help or not, but i have my desktop set to 1280x932, while i have my eq window set to 1280x904, which gives me the room at the bottom for the taskbar. there might be other settings that work as well, it's just what works best for me.

did you happen to read any of the other threads about the issues with the patch, and the resolutions?
patch EQ w/o wineq2
turn off patching in wineq2
log on

i'm sure a more elegent fix will make it in shortly, but that works for now.
