I understand that the tiling is accomplished via scaling, however, I was wondering if tiling would work in conjunction with custom resolutions such that there would be no apparent scaling. For example, If I have a 1280 x 1024 LCD display, could I use a custom resolution of 640 x 512 for each of the ...

At first I thought it was just freezing, but then I realized that its just really really slow. Each file is taking about 30-60 seconds. These are 100k files so it should be nearly instant.

If my budget were fixed, would it be better to select an older 512MB card as opposed to a newer 256MB card?

For example, I found a "Diablotek" 6800 512MB card for $274 CDN. The Asus 7600 256MB card is $285 on the same website.

I'm building a new system. Here is what I was hopping I could get by with in order to support six sessions with absolute bare minimum settings.

Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (2.0Ghz)
GeForce 7600 256MB
3GB RAM

What do you guys think?
