To actually answer the OP's question (Is that allowed?!?): Yes, processor affinity is doled out exactly the same for HT cpus as it is for dual cores, so you'll be supported. Hydra gaming is certainly one (if not the only) situation in which you *will* see a marked increase in performance with HT, so...

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the first way? (I've seen several scripts use this) I take it the index lookup is more expensive?

Everquest 2 not closing cleanly

As of late, EQ2 often leaves behind a dead everquest2.exe process when you quit out (by any method). These hang around forever unless closed manually, and can cause patch problems because some IS-related .dll files never get released.

Ooooh, Eve seems to update properly in the background now too, at least in emulated full screen. <hugs lax like the big ol' teddy bear he is>

Nice, and something about the mouseover/highlighting in general seems faster in Eve now...though it could just be me.

Out of curiosit, what was the problem? Those artifacts were so...interesting.

Microsoft has taken a funky path recently with DirectX. There are actually several versions of 9c, some newer than others. If you get the full DirectX package from MS, it will install the newest components over top of whatever you already have. I don't know why they decided to go this route, telling...

I'm pretty sure somebody else posted more-or-less the same question here a few days ago, and Lax gave a fairly detailed response. You might want to check through the posts from the past week or so. FWIW, here's my 2 cents: Even the dual-core alone without the 2nd video card would give you a noticabl...

I had the same issue with HUDGroups, seems the only way to define the groups themselves is through XML. Probably just a command left out or undocumented.

Guys, if you want to talk Eve hacking, join me on the ismods board and I'll put on my Cr4zyb4rd hat and pontificate all day long...but can we please keep this thread for spamming Lax until he fixes my bug? Thanks. :P I'd noticed some oddness with Eve in the background myself, but figured it was just...

But, i remember this happening for months and months. it's not some new change. Yes, it seems to be tied into having certain chat windows open somehow. It all started for me about the time I pulled my local chat off into its own window (on the same day as the "dragon" patch, iirc, which is what mad...

Having multiple chat panels open (not minimized and in two windows, not "tabbed") at the same while opening a non-hangar container (including your own ship's inventory) seems to be what triggers this for me. Just keeping the 2nd chat window I use to watch local minimized whenever I fiddle with items...

I don't think anything changed in IS. I first started to notice this with the last Eve client patch.
