Thats weird, apparently after i had to recover some files on my crashed drive it duplicated them, so i did actually have 2 eq directories and sure enough, when i aimed it at the right one, loaded up perfectly!

Yes i have tried it without mq2 loaded, i have also tried it with the absolute bare minimum system processes and background programs running. Still end up with the same error.

Basically heres what happens, both with EQW and WinEQ 1 and 2. I goto log in the game and after i quick connect it boots me back with a 1017 error telling me to rerun the patch server blah blah.
