Multi-boxing with Inner Space has never been easier. With ISBoxer Toolkit currently in beta, customers old and new alike are discovering the ease, flexibility, and power of multi-boxing with Inner Space.

Become familiar with features like these:

  • Window layouts are easy to set up. Two monitors with full screen windows for 2 characters? Check. One monitor with a main region for the currently active character and alternates set up along an edge of the screen, instantly swapping to the main region when they become active? Check. Picture-in-Picture? Check. Configure your window layouts exactly how you like, with ISBoxer Toolkit's easy to use editor.
  • Key Maps are both easy and powerful. One button to send a different key to each character? Check. Hit a button multiple times to send a key to different characters, also known as round-robin? Check. Need to apply different modifiers (ctrl/alt/shift) if a different character is active? Simple. Configure your key maps to do exactly what you want! You can even configure your G15 or G11 keyboard, or X-Keys and other devices to work with them!
  • Mouse and/or keyboard multiplexing is a breeze! Move your mouse on the main screen, and the same movement can be repeated for the other characters. A fake cursor is even shown on the other windows! Turn in quests with ease, you will never turn back!

Here's a quick video demonstrating a character set configured by the ISBoxer Toolkit. The video shows World of Warcraft, but the software works for many games, including EverQuest, EverQuest 2, and Lord of the Rings Online!

Update! We now have video walkthroughs showing how to use ISBoxer Toolkit to configure your multi-boxing experience. See Part 1 and Part 2!

This week in Inner Space - 11 Nov 08 PDF Print E-mail

It's been a few weeks since our last "This week in Inner Space" segment, and we've got plenty of new stuff to cover for you!

First of all, I would like to announce that our new Inner Space build as of yesterday (November 10th, 2008) now supports The Lord of the Rings Online (in DirectX9 mode), with our improved launcher functionality. So if you recently tried Inner Space to see if LOTRO would work, feel free to send me an email about it for a new trial. Other games that Inner Space previously failed to attach to may now work as well.

... and on we go.

Picture-in-Picture with WindowSnapper

WindowSnapper with WoW, EQ2, LOTROWindowSnapper is a few weeks old now, but we haven't yet featured it here on our front page. WindowSnapper is a blazing fast Picture-in-Picture solution for Inner Space. So fast, in fact, that we added special features like a rollover zoom feature -- move your mouse over a PiP window and it will instantly zoom the window -- and wheelswitcher, which lets you hold down a configurable key such as Ctrl, and use the mouse wheel to quickly rotate between windows. WindowSnapper now also includes autolayout functionality, which means EzMode for WindowSnapper. It can automatically lay out your PiP windows on any edge of the screen, even on an outside edge of your main monitor if you've got a dual monitor setup that doesn't take a performance hit when you move windows between monitors. That's priceless, and WindowSnapper is in fact free and open source -- all you need is your Inner Space subscription.

WindowSnapper works for many games, including EverQuest II and The Lord of the Rings Online! The image to the right shows a World of Warcraft main window, Lord of the Rings Online, and EverQuest II, but this will work for most games Inner Space supports!

Keyboard and mouse replication with Repeater

Repeater is also a few weeks old now, and is used for duplicating keystrokes or mouse movement and clicking in other game sessions, on the same PC or on other PCs. Flip on repeater, press whatever keys you need to happen in all windows, click wherever you need to click in all windows, and it's all instantly duplicated for you! Repeater supports white and black lists, so that you can select which keys will or will not be duplicated. Mouse positioning will work best with all game windows being in the same resolution, so that clicking on a certain button in one window will click on the same button in another window. It also works pretty well with mouselook. Repeater is also free and open source, all you need is your Inner Space subscription.

Other keystroke sending functionality

Repeater isn't the only way to send keystrokes to other game sessions -- Inner Space has a flexible and powerful system of binds and aliases, which can be combined to create nearly any key sending functionality you need! Round-robin or sending different keys to different windows, for example, can be done with binds (or GUI windows like ClickBoxer) and aliases, rather than with Repeater -- much the same way that binds and aliases are used in some first-person shooters for similar purposes. In the coming weeks, expect to see new applications for Inner Space to help you create and manage setting up specific keys to do these things. Setting up your multi-boxing team is getting easier and easier!

Real-time chat for help multi-boxing with Inner Space

We regularly help new users get started, and in fact some of the experts sometimes want help with their more advanced setups as well. Feel free to join us in #isboxer on irc.lavishsoft.com! (Click the link to join the chat in your web browser)  I or other users such as yourself will be happy to answer any questions you may have, whether you already purchased or you have some questions before you try (yep, you can apply for a FREE 7-day trial!) or buy. If you need extra help getting set up, don't feel bad! The more questions that get asked, and the more people who come for help, the better and easier we can make the process! Besides, people who got helped when they got started sometimes like to return the favor by helping someone else in turn, and they may be waiting for you in the chat channel now.

Other useful resources may include our multi-boxing with Inner Space guide, and Zanthor's post with his setup on dual-boxing.com.

Stay tuned, this gets better every week!
