Can this program maintain a telco modem connection?

Post by Sport » Mon Jan 10, 2005 2:17 pm

I am thinking of licensing this program for my brother but he only has access to telephone ISP. No cable nor DSL support available to him. But his modem keeps hanging up. I was wondering if there is a provision written into one of the various versions of this program to keep the telephone connection active? Nothing p's him off as much as going l/d then hearing his modem hanging up in the background hehe.

Will this program be of service to him using a telephone modem?

Thanx for the info. ))

Our software is independent of any connection type, and can't prevent his connection from failing. The only exception is if he is using a winmodem, which is software driven instead of hardware driven (e.g. a winmodem relies on the system having free CPU time in order to maintain connection, whereas a hardware modem has its own chip to handle things). The throttling built into WinEQ, EQPlayNice and Inner Space could improve his connection stability while playing supported games.
