Trouble with switching sessions (uplink focus -next)

Post by Yite » Fri Aug 26, 2005 1:27 am

I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I have a dual monitor setup and have been running WinEQ2 on this without any problem, the next and previous sessions keys work fine.

Now I'm trying out IS and I like it lots but for some reason the next and previous session keys don't do their job.

In the console it reports:

Code: Select all

[uplink] Switching to session is1
but the focus stays on the current session.

The global ctrl+alt+1 works but I'm trying to get a key to cycle through my sessions (like I do on WinEQ2)

Any hints are much appreciated.

Actually, works fine for me. What game are you playing, and are you using the default CTRL+ALT+X/Z or something of your own?

I've tried using ctrl+alt+x ctrl+alt+z, I tried just typing the command and I've tried setting up my own key.

I'm playing EQ2 one on primary and one on secondary monitor.

As I said the console will display it is switching to the session but the new session does not get the focus.

I'll try again when I get home (in about 30 min - 1 hour).

Unfortunately still no luck, as you can see in the screenshot it is saying it's switching but focus stays on the old window. I also tried with both sessions on the same monitor but this had the same result.

Is there any debugging / tracing I can turn on or is there any other information I can provide?

No, all I needed to know was the game you were playing. I experience the same problem with EQ2 (it works fine with other tested games) and will be looking into this.

This bug is fixed in the next Inner Space update (a new build coming AFTER today's Inner Space 0.992 Build 2482). I will have the build up tonight with this fixed, thanks for reporting it!
