Post by bob_the_builder » Thu Feb 24, 2005 1:17 pm

Is there a command for changing the GAMAM using the Console for InnerSpace?

I see GAMMA has been added to IS
- Added "RestoreGamma" command to uplink, which restores gamma to its original level (when the uplink was
started)
- Added "Gamma" command to sessions, which can store, restore, reset, or display the gamma ramp. It cannot
currently be used to pick a gamma level (e.g. "higher" or "lower" settings), just store, restore, and reset.
how exactly does this work? I am a little confused. How do a set (pick) gamma and if I cant pick it what is the reset and store for?

It was added during my testing of Doom 3, and it solves a few problems.

1. "Gamma -reset" resets the gamma to the default Windows level (may be different from the level set by your drivers, but it is a straight gamma ramp)
2. When you run multiple copies of EQ windowed, gamma goes up and down whenever you open or close a new copy of EQ. If you gamma -store when you originally open EQ, you can gamma -restore later to fix the gamma to the level it should be at while playing

I'm aware that it would be more helpful to have it able to set the gamma ramp, but I didn't have a chance to put in an easy method of doing so yet. I will soon :)

Ok, can't wait. In WoW I cant change gamma from in game, I have to use Windows gamma settings to change ... Well, i think i can if I go out of Window mode then back to window mode .. but anyways...

Also , how bout making the desktop icons for the games instead of right-click the IS icon?

Thanks !

You love me )) and my family who really wants the desktop icon (6 year old son)

Anyways, seems to launch IS then it exits. No messages, just launches IS then closes it from clock bar. This Default Profile does work if I manually right click and run.

Used this:

MakeShortcut "World of Warcraft Default Profile"

Made a Target:

"C:\Program Files\InnerSpace\InnerSpace.exe" open "World of Warcraft Default Profile"

Is there any thing else I can supply you with? debug?

Come to think of it I only tested the shortcuts with Inner Space already launched. Try running Inner Space, and then using the shortcut it created. I'll hotfix the bug later tonight

No, just makes the IS icon in the clock bar disapear and then nothing else happens.

Same as just launching the made shortcut.

Fixed. Apparently nobody ever tried to use the "open" command, or didn't report the problem with it :)
