Post by DoonKay » Thu Jun 20, 2013 8:17 pm

(wineq 2 was able to launch C:\users\public\sony online entertainment\installed games\everquest\eqgame.exe, but failed to attach to it)

I keep getting this message why?

Because it launched the game for you, but failed to attach to it... :)

Most likely you have software running on your PC that is interfering. I don't know specifically what to tell you to look for because this is probably the only report I've ever had of this with WinEQ 2.

But I would probably start with things like security/firewall/antivirus software or anything that might be specific to EQ...

Added the ability for EQ to set its affinity to all cores when starting up. This can be done by modifying the eqclient.ini value for the instance to -1. For example, to set your second instance of EQ to run on all cores add "CPUAffinity1=-1" to the [Defaults] section of eqclient.ini. Note: if this causes problems for you, please report the issue in /bug and change the CPUAffinity value back to the value it was before you changed it.

Could that have messed up the attaching?
