Reset Position and Jumping Window

Post by LentheNinja » Thu Dec 31, 2009 2:43 pm

Using WinEQ2 free version in Everquest.

Shift + Right Click for context Menu

Click on Reset Window

The window goes to the top left corner, can no longer see the Title Bar for WinEQ anymore, can not drag the window anymore, there are no context menu options Except CLOSE when you right click on the instance in the taskbar.

The only options left are the 4 under Shift + Right Click

Reset Window
Store Window Settings
Get Info
Exit

The window also locks the mouse to it, you can not move the mouse cursor out of the window.

Came across this while trying to get rid of a slight window position stutter. 3rd Instance of WinEQ2 will move down and right a few pixels and jump back to its original position almost immediately, the jump is quite annoying, but only occurs on the 3rd instance, the first 2 are fine.

Work around in win7 / vista for the title bar being off the screen

Move your mouse cursor over the instance on the title bar so the little preview window comes up, right click the title bar in the preview window and click move, use the arrow keys and press down to get it back on the screen so it can be dragged.
