Vista x64 problem

Heyas, all.

I ended up building a new system (Quad core, 8GB RAM, etc) and was loading WinEQ2 under Vista x64 - but I keep getting the message that DX9.0c (post April 2006 or something) isn't loaded.

I did a search, and found this thread:

The only option I get is to download the latest DX9.0c anywhere, and when I attempt to execute it - it finishes ok, but I still get the same error under WinEQ2.

Um - where can I just find the updates that are spoken of in that thread? Or am I just blind? :)

Figured it out - I had the redistributable DX9.0c - which didn't work. Using the one that is a web setup program for DirectX (dxwebsetup.exe) DOES work, however.

Glee. Someone hit me with a 2x4, I'm paticularily dense this morning.
